TED Talk Tuesday – Dan Gilbert: The Surprising Science of Happiness

In this interesting talk Dan Gilbert explains the science and benefit of Synthesized Happiness. “Sir Thomas Brown wrote in 1642, “I am the happiest man alive. I have that in me that can convert poverty to riches, adversity to prosperity. I am more invulnerable than Achilles; fortune hath not one place to hit me.” This process of mental adaptation, allows us to change our perspective on unfortunate circumstances; making bad situations manageable. Enjoy!
